Job
Interview Tips: Advice on Interview Question Answers
Cut
yourself some slack. Allow for minor mistakes to creep into
the interview without beating yourself up about it. No interview is
without problems so don't strive for absolute perfection. There
are many times "good enough" is...well, good enough!
The
interview isn't a time to be humble. The best interview
answer is one that flows freely. Interviewers want you to
communicate what you've accomplished in a way that is not boastful
but isn't diminishing your achievements. Sample answers appear
below.
Boastful
example: "ABC Company with be nothing without me. I
single-handedly brought the department into the black."
Diminishing
example: "The department had many challenges. I did play a
major role in turning around the department. But it's not big deal.
That's part of my job."
Expect
the unexpected interview question, but don't dwell on it.
Unusual job interview questions are rarely asked the job interview
process. Most fall in the "common job interview questions"
category. So don't fret so much over crazy questions.
