Peer Interviews
Peer interviews
usually take place as a second interview. Key people within the
organization and from different departments are invited to
participate. Peer interviews are designed to establish a strong
camaraderie among employees. The hiring organization is hoping to
increase productivity.
Peer-to-Peer
Interviews: Winning Strategy
Don't take
the peer interview as a sign a job offer is around the corner.
You still have to impress your peers, and that is not easy to do.
These are people you will be working with day in and day out. Along
with your hard skills, the team of peers will place
high value on your personality and the
would-I-like-to-go-out-to-lunch-with-this-person factor.
During the
peer interview, make eye contact. When you make eye
contact, you demonstrate confidence in your abilities.
Don't be
overly friendly. You may be tempted to let your guard down.
After all, you want to demonstrate you can be "fun" to
have around the office. But it's best you keep the meeting
professional at every level.
